Kushboo opposes Kamal Hassan's Speech

Kamal Hassan recently gave a heated speech at Professor Gnanasambandam’s Book release event. He said with agony that I feel hard in promoting Tamil language through films. Kamal said I feel shameful that in Tamil movies we couldn’t use proper Tamil words and have started using English words a lot and that’s what the audience expect from us.

But Kushboo says i landed Tamilnadu for acting purposes but ended up learning Tamil and to live as a Tamil person. Even that’s how I brought up my children too. This happened because of my own interest. So we can’t tie knot this with Cinema.

The agony of Kamal sir is right, but cinema alone can’t act as the medium to bring this change. Every person born of Tamil culture should feel responsible in giving life to this longest surviving language called Tamil.
