Meera Jasmine debuted as heroine through the film Run. She had also acted in the hit Tamil film Sandai Kozhi. She continued to act in Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu films. She is currently acting in the Tamil film Mambattiyan. The shooting of this film is in final stages. There is news that she will be quit acting after completing this film. She has been avoiding new offers.

Mambatiyan director Thyagarajan said that she got lots of offer while acting in Mambatiyan but she has turned down al. Her three recently released Malayalam films were flops. Because of this she has not given her call sheet there also. So there is news that she is not giving call sheet in order to quit acting. There is also another information that she is going to get married to Mandolin Rajesh soon and that is why she has decided to quit cinema.
